In Sjenica, local officials have proclaimed an emergency situation because of the flooding.
Užice fought off flooding by the Đetinje River with the help of town communal services and the local firefighters.
Some 200 homes were flooded in Arilje and Požega as well overnight, and more than 2,000 hectares of fertile land are also under water.
These two towns, as well as Čačak, Gornji Milanovac and Lučani, do not have water currently.
The flooding of the Rzav River also stopped work in the water plant in Arilje, which supplies drinking water to over 300,000 people in five municipalities of western Serbia.
